Gala Day 2016 – our best yet!

A MAHOOSIVE thank you to all who took part in this year’s Leith Gala Day Stall. We had a fantastic day and due to all those who baked, donated their crafts, wine, time, and hedgehog making skills, and to all those customers who came along and supported us.

The stall was very popular with visitors enjoying delights such as our notoriously awesome home baking, guess the weight of the cake, water or wine, guess the number of sweeties in the jar, and our fabulous Leith Primary cotton shoppers!

We raised……DRUM ROLL…… over £1140 which I am pretty sure is a record! Well done one and all- Three cheers for LPPC! 🙂 🙂 🙂

The day couldn’t have been so successful without the support of local businesses.  These wonderful businesses are: Tapa, The Leith Beer Co., MaltandHops Leith, The King’s Wark, The Lioness of Leith, Leith Depot, Bar Brig, Boda Bar, Alhambra,Candersons Sweet Shop, Wee Blue Coo, Tesco, Leith, and The Port O’ Leith Bar.The children and parents of Leith Primary salute you all for your generosity and community spirit – THANK YOU!

First LPPC parents’ disco goes down a storm

Leith Primary parents had a grand old time dancing the night away at the inaugural LPPC parent’s disco last weekend.  The disco was held a stone’s throw from the school at the Seafield bowling club on Leith Links and everyone agreed it was the start of an excellent tradition.

The tunes flowed freely from the awesome She Bang DJs, who you can also catch on the Links providing music for the upcoming Leith Gala day for the 5th year running.

The night also included the draw for the spring raffle which along with ticket sales for the disco helped to make the night such a success.  Prizes included a signed Hibernian top, a gorgeous Alice Temperley designer handbag worth £150 generously donated by John Lewis, beauty treats, beer and wine!

Thanks so much to all the parents who helped to put the night on, can’t wait for the next one!
